Halloween Art 🎃👻💀

We started getting ready for Halloween today!! 🎃We learned about Picasso and Cubism. We made Frankenstein portraits in the style of Cubism!

We also learned about Día de los Muertos. We coloured in little Sugar Skull templates and made Cotton Bud Skeletons!

Maths Week Maths Trail

 This week was Maths Week in Scoil Cholmcille!! We did Maths Art (tessellation), maths quiz - well done to our winner: Éireann, Kacey, Isabella, Keila and Dayne!!! And a Maths Trail around the school!

We were also learning about 2D shapes, we went on a Shape Hunt, learned the Shape Song and made 2D Shape Monsters!!

The Stone Age - Cave Paintings 🦣🪨

We are learning about the Stone Age is History! 

We made Woolly Mammoth Cave Paintings using charcoal and oil pastels!

 In September we were learning about Paint and Colour.

We began by making a colour wheel to make Secondary Colours and Tertiary Colours.

We painted fish using Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Colours.

We also learned about Warm Colours and Cool Colours.
